Sarti, Sithonia, Chalkidiki
Sarti is a coastal settlement in Sithonia, the central peninsula of Chalkidiki (Halkidiki), built on top of the ancient town Sarti. The area is a much frequented resort due to its lovely sandy beaches, which offer visitors endless hours of swimming, sunbathing and water sport activities. Sarti has many restaurants, fish taverns, cafés and clubs, with a view of the deep blue sea and the Mt. Athos peninsula, which is located opposite Sarti village. Chalkidiki (Halkidiki), Greece
Chalkidiki (Halkidiki) is situated southeast of Thessaloniki and is a major tourist area in Greece due to the large number of Greek and foreign visitors who vacation in the region every year . Chalkidiki (Halkidiki) has three peninsulas: Κassandra in the west, Sithonia in the center and Agio Oros ( Mt. Athos) in the east. Each peninsula has its own charm although Chalkidiki (Halkidiki) is renowned for its natural beauty, amazing beaches, quaint villages and archaeological and historical monuments. Sithonia is especially charming, for it retains its traditional features and tranquillity, despite its extremely well-developed tourist infrastructure.
